Welcome to this forum good son and nice to see comment, but with this don't even find out what's your point of dissatisfaction, just beacuse they don't have international channels, but will you tell which other operator (DTH /Cable) will provide you these international channels, first just to clear your doubt on international channels that it requires permission from I&B ministry to telecast these channels and these channels doesn't have permission till now.
Talking about no.of channels, I think still dishtv has more number of channel then any other operators, further you are saying about crap channels that might be for you but think about others also you were not only dishtv viewer might be you won't require those channels but ask any south indian whether they require sun channels or not, for them sun channels are almost every thing but for you they are just crap channels.
for you picture and sound quality doesn't matter but for others every thing matters and also if you talk about cable they will also charge same ..well if you belongs to delhi then definitely you know how much cable wallas will charge and what kind of services and channels they provide. even i am having both the dth and i am pretty much satisfied with dishtv after using it for more then 2 years.
Further about TV5 Monde, that might be case it will be free to air channel their that doesn't mean that it will be FTA in India as well, i think its a premium channel french channel and therefore it would be cost so much. and also you were telling about some channels from dd direct, can you tell me are you able to watch all these channels without having dishtv connection .....No then what's the matter whether its of dd, the main thing is that you have the access to watch all these channels.
That was quite surprising for me and even for other as well (Don't Know) that people after having DTH and going back to local operator (cable). and just to tell this is the beauty of Dth that without having Plasma Screem and home theatre you can enjoy the same exp with DTH operators. so be mature enough to think what you write...even i don't have any objection in that, because i feel its solely your views and every body have right to say that....and even this was solely my views just in response of yours..

I think what a consumer feel, that has been only reported by goodson. So neo dont feel bad. Till date in India there is no DTH platform to broadcast all channels it has been understood by all customers where a paralel service avl like cable. I feel when a subscriber can use their STB to switch over to other DTH service only changing VC then this DTH operators will feel customers pulse & they will feel the competetion.
Till now DTH service is Monopoly.
So a consumer cant anything becoz once they buy a STB, Cant throw it out & take a new connection.
