Why don't you paste the content and the link.....I have already pasted the contents of the website in the same thread which never says its a FTA channel.
Well on my cable channel is still there and I get it on Dish Tv too till my currunt sub. I am getting bot channel same. No difference in content or ads. Cable's channel is 2 or 3 sec ahead than Dish TV.
Than how channel is FTA for Cable and Channel is Paid for Dish TV.

I have been watching C&S TV from late 90s. I have only came across TV5 and not a single instance of TV5 Monde. First time I have seen TV5 Monde in Dish TV only. Why don't you attach the picture taken from cable tv as well along with the source link, let me also start believing that TV5 Monde is a FTA.

Even i have seen in cable either TV 5 or TV 5 Aisa but certainly not TV 5 monde:rofl:

Well I can't eb able to put pics but I found both channels on Dish TV and Cable too. With same logo" TV5 Monde" at uper line and Asie in lower line.

Herez my take on it...
There are many premuim channels shown on cable. The cable wallah doesn't charge u for every new channel being added. The reason being that he does not disclose the actual number of subscribers to the broadcaster. And there is no way the broadcaster can count the number of subscribers.
So thats the way the cable system works. And thats the reason why u dont pay more when the channel is added on cable and u pay for it when its added on DTH.

Guys, the channel TV5 Asie is now called TV5 Monde Asie (Monde= world). You also have TV5 Monde Africa TV5Monde Latin America etc. This channel i.e. TV5 Monde Asia can be seen in India either on C band on AsiaSat3 which is FTA and the same channel is available on Ku band and encrypted by Dish tv . According to the Sun DTH website it is soon going to be on Sun TV as well, where i dont think they would charge 150 for that channel alone.
TV5Monde (formerly only TV5) is largest TV network for French Language programming and it is FTA. Ref: TV5MONDE - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
It is also available in Asia-Pacific region as FTA through Asiasat 3S (AsiaSat 3S at 105.5°E - LyngSat)
Don't know exact reason for DISH charging Rs 150 for it.
I BELIEVE DISH trying to prepare some International channels bouquet for Rs 150 of which TV5MONDE is part of. Later other International channels may be added

if that is the case then they should first bring the international channel and give a free preview for a few days and then make it a pay channel. If they make such channels as pay channel, no one will ever buy them!
