TV5 is fta on Asiasat. As like TS, Dish tv also charges for FTA channels. 80% of the channels we see in TS & Dish tv are FTA. If we can buy 120cms or bigger dish then we can enjoy them FTA with more clarity

Dish tv is little better than TS in pricing.

Their is three channels with the name TV5 and among them TV5 ASIA is fta and no info about other TV5, but i am sure about TV5 MONDE that it will be a pay channels, as i have seen their pricing in their website that it will cost around 5 euros their. i will just check out the link and try to post here for confirmation. and that's why its pay channel on dishtv.

This Monde and Asia are same for us. They will now and then change the logo. Same picture comes on both dish tv and from Asiasat. But anyway as I said both TS and Dish tv rob us for FTA channels just for the reason we use a small dish (offcourse we paid nearly thrice the amount for the dish and stb).

If it's a pay channel on Dish TV, how come it's free on cable?Dish TV wants to eat the cake and have it too. They asked TV5 people to pay a few hundred theousand dollars if they wanted their channel to be aired on that platform. As they refused that kind of blackmail the customers have to pay instead. The only good thing is it won't be taken off the air, like so many other channels like Trace TV, Goal (1 & 2), Aussie Network, DW (I know it's DD's fault), Sun, etc...

Guys pls. understand TV5 Asie is different from TV5 Monde Asie. Though both are from the same broadcaster, one is FTA and the other is a pay channel. Both logos appear to be same but you need to notice the Monde on the logo which is not available in the cable network at all. Both programs are different as well.

Yes that's right mek, even from the start i am also saying the same thing...TV5 is just like some other channels like Ren tv1, Rentv2 etc...and therefore TV5 Monde is pay channels whereas TV5 Asia is FTA channel.

right way, FINAL CONCLUSION TV5 Monde paid channel and TV5 Asia is FTA therefore its paid on dishtv.

With this I request the mods to close this thread from receiving anymore posts, as it has been made clear that TV5 has two channels and one is Free and the other is pay. and I have witnessed that over in my subscription.

Well today I just found that Dish TV is get permission to brodcast TV5 Monde Asia channel which is a FTA channel. TV 5 Monde is Paid channel but Dish tv registered TV5 Monde Asia.So it's illegal way to charging 150 Rs for FTA permetted channel.
