I wanna increase my download speed

i have a local ISP here in bandra,mumbai..............64kbps pla n give me 6.5 kbs speed(downloading)......i pay 550rs a month,unlimited..........do u think its worth..........n i wanna do somethin n change that speed.........atleast 50kbps......i tried a lotta things..........bt nothin worked.......plz can ne1 tell me what to do wid dis........n get a good speed.........it'll be a good help........thanx........

Actually a 64 kbps plan means 64 kilobits per second.And 8 kilobits=1 Kilobyte... Hence when u download from a site u'll get the readings in KBps(kilobytes) and not kbps(kilobits)....Hence 64kbps=8 KBps and u get 6.5....... So my frnd i would recommend u to go for BSNL and this ISP is definitely cheating u.....Good luck:thumb:

Relax mate...The download speed ur getting is fine....... Just divide the available bandwidth by 8 and u get it.....


and if there's no bsnl go for airtel.
