Ask your CTO to give u extra wire so that u can drag it to you another room.

thanks cancer10 for replyingbut i want to connect permantely not to drag wire from one room to anotherplease tell what can i dothanksalso can u pm me and guide me to connect to other computers for downloading files ofcourse with there permissionthanks for helping me

Go WiFi, that will cost nearly 5k for a WiFI router and a card, but you will have much more flexibility.

I have been using WiFi for quite some time

Code:
C:\>ping 192.168.1.1Pinging 192.168.1.1 with 32 bytes of data:Reply from 192.168.1.1: bytes=32 time=3ms TTL=255Reply from 192.168.1.1: bytes=32 time=2ms TTL=255Reply from 192.168.1.1: bytes=32 time=2ms TTL=255Reply from 192.168.1.1: bytes=32 time=3ms TTL=255Ping statistics for 192.168.1.1:    Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:    Minimum = 2ms, Maximum = 3ms, Average = 2msC:\>ping 192.168.55.1Pinging 192.168.55.1 with 32 bytes of data:Reply from 192.168.55.1: bytes=32 time=1ms TTL=64Reply from 192.168.55.1: bytes=32 time=1ms TTL=64Reply from 192.168.55.1: bytes=32 time=1ms TTL=64Reply from 192.168.55.1: bytes=32 time=1ms TTL=64Ping statistics for 192.168.55.1:    Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:    Minimum = 1ms, Maximum = 1ms, Average = 1ms
192.168.55.1 is IP of WFi router
192.168.1.1 is ip of ADSL router

Using WiFi adds just a few milliseconds to latency. And I get 44mbps speed between laptop/pc (as compared to 54mbps advertized).

Nothing to worry unless Net connection beefier then 44mbps.

I think you interchanged the IPs.

Yes its a bit odd, but did not want to change anything on MTNL router.

setup looks something like:

ADSL Router:

Code:
