I WANT My INTERNET SHOULD connect ASAP I switch on modem

Friends., I have a BSNL connection I want to make it work asap I switch on my MODEM so what should I configure I dont want Dial up connection, I have 256 KBPS UL connection.

No name or model number in your type IV modem/router ?

1) Use PPPoE mode and it should connect within 15-20 seconds after turning it on. Use modem as your gateway in your PC.2) Use bridged mode, make your OS connect automatically when your PC starts.(So you dont have to connect manually everytime)

yes so he is using bridged mode. he can go for option 2 or switch to PPPoE mode.
