but what is the sense of a separate broadband wiki when we have almost everything related to broadband on wikipedia?i dont mean to discourage you .maybe i will be of help if the purpose of this wiki is more clear

well we originally aimed to have data from all the service providers in a centralized location. forums are not good for representing data. we aimed to provide quick and easy access to all the packages and options available in the indian market in different cities. it is too much work of course. and need a lot of effort from multiple folks. we do not wish to explain the definition of broadband or whatever. seriously.

I had no clear idea about iBF Wiki, otherwise would have contributed for sure.It's not that difficult, just need an action plan with some 'cough' dedicated effort :livid:

i gave up on the wiki after whatever was on it was destroyed by the member who started this thread in the first place. i almost thought about removing the link from the navigation bar at the top.

I poked my nose around the wiki, you can restore old pages.

i know there is a backup option but the wiki has been messed up so badly that i do not even know what period to restore it too. we need a roadmap on what it should contain and in what format.

Right. We could start off with listing down the basic contents, and then refine them in further revisions.Something like -1. Broadband Section1. a. Airtel b. BSNL c. ....and so on2. DTH SectionSame sub headings as above. Under each sub heading, we could have a FAQ for that particular ISP, along with solutions to the most commonly faced problems. Would save the trouble of writing the same stuff each time in different threads.
