ICICI Bank to stop sending paper statements from July 2013

ICICI does not even provide proper PDF format statements online. What you get is a shitty CSV or Text format downloads which would not work at all for documented proofs. I was planning on getting a passbook for my account but apparently I would have to visit the parent branch for the same which is sort of an annoyance because of its location in my city.
Yup. those text files are useless for submitting as bank stmts to third party agencies. Other than passbook,Only option is to goto home branch and get a printout with the bank manager's signature on it
citibank too is switching to e-stmts from august, but they have the decency to keep sending paper stmts to those who opt for it.
But Icici straight away forces you with no option whatsoever. they even give some pravachan about why it's beneficial to us, forgetting to add they will be saving crores of rupees towards it.
