good luck with blackberry 10. from what i have seen wp8 looks better than bb10.

lol ... Its not like I am keen to get one now :pMy major interest is because I already have a device which could combine to form a good combo. But 100s of factors remain before I even think about getting one. Apps, Price, Stability just to name a few basic ones. And personally - I dont like WP8 that much. Would prefer an Android or even ios over it.

Just Oppostite, I would like to go for a Windows phone next time. Android is more or less same like any other operating system. Only advantage is its Open Source and lots of app availability but interest of playing with such app doesn't last longer. Even Jelly Bean is not so innovative as rumored. In comparison to that WP8 looks quite charming and sexy. ;)

lol. wp8 looks charming because you have used android and symbian type platforms... i am not sure if i am comfortable with a phone that showcases excerpts from my social media and email accounts on the home screen :P

have never used a wp device so cannot say. but from what i understand, having shortcuts to apps on the homescreen means you have to tile them and these tiles are live in nature. maybe they could be made 'dead'. no idea really. anyone here using a wp device would be able to help!same is the problem with metro ui on windows 8 and windows rt. if you have tiles for photos and email accounts, they are going to be right there on the homescreen!

Yes, its like that in Belle. All shortcut on homescreen are live and remain updated.

an indicator for updates is fine. but i do not need every icon to behave like a widget which is what WP offers from what i have seen from the photos and videos.it does annoy me that android does not have indicator for icons. like ios and blackberry have.

Considering you just got a S3, it would be a while I guess before you change the phone - Going by what you said about not indulging in expensive buys - Who knows how the dynamics change by then. You might get an idevice or even a new platform :D

Not at all. Icon don't update, only widgets get update . And its fully customizable in Belle.

Yes bro. Can't think of a new smartphone atleast for next 2 years. I am sure by that time S5 and WP10 would be out. But I am quite interested in WP on Samsung phones.
