Thank you. I have shipped to Delhi and Gurgaon. Rest of the shipments went to Bengaluru and surrounding cities.
So someone sent me two parcels on the same day and at same time.
I have tracking numbers.
There is only 1 second difference in booking time and tracking number difference is only 8. (last two digits 16 and 24)
Now today I got delivery of 1 parcel
But 2nd parcel is NOWHERE!
Checking online shows that 2nd parcel is still at "Booked" stage and no other tracking entries have been made.
The 1st parcel which I have received has lots of tracking entries (last status is that it reached local post office near my place)
And 1st parcel reached in just 2days!
May be after 2-3 days I will get a reply that - 2nd parcel is probably lost?!

You or the sender have to register a complaint.

From where that shipment was?. Speed Post or Express Parcel?. Please search about their delivery norms, they have one huge city to city delivery time pdf which we can download.
If your shipment has crossed that deadline, you have every right to complain, if it's inside deadline they would probably ask you to wait.
If I am right, India Post handles all government, bank and other corporate shipments along with eCommerce ones. That's much much bigger than the amount of shipments private guys handle. Given the outdated technology and delivery mechanism they have in place, it's impressive that they deliver things quickly.
Except for my last shipment, every shipment to Delhi NCR area from my village (around 100km away from Mangalore) took 3-4 days. I have never seen private guys delivering that quick.

Agree. Wait till tomorrow evening. If they don't deliver, I don't see any other solution than contacting to both post offices/ emailing to Post Master General.
