After the Aussie ODIs, rain set to threaten the Windies series as well http://ibnlive.in.com/news/cricketnext/rain-clouds-hang-over-kochi-odi-between-india-and-west-indies/435199-78.html
The Duleep Trophy final saw just one day's play possibile after rain left the Jawaharalal Nehru Stadium in Kochi unplayable, and the same threat hangs over the first ODI between India and West Indies on Thursday. It rained heavily on Monday night in Kochi, with the whole ground kept under covers until Tuesday evening despite no more rain; however, president of the Kerala Cricket Association (KCA), TC Matthew, said the ground was in good shape and keeping the covers on was just a precautionary measure.

Same stupidity like cuttack. why they schedule the matches during rainy season.
kochi receives rain every oct-nov

With no Pollard, Narine, India should take the ODI series as well. Actually it is also kind of boring. Waiting for SA series.

Provided there is play. Wont be surprised if the series finishes 1-1 or even just 1-0.
Even SL-NZ series has been badly affected by rains...

B Kumar to C Gayle, OUT! Massive blow for West Indies! It was a full length delivery around off, Gayle tapped it from the crease to the off side and scampered across for a brisk single. Kumar ran to the ball and turned to score a direct hit at the non-striker's end. It's referred upstairs and the replays showed that Gayle was inches short. The Big Jamaican is down in deep pain, almost crying and it seems he has hurt himself while completing the run. The physio is out and Chris Gayle is being carried off the field on a stretcher. Not a pleasant sight! Hope Chris is fine...
Ouch. Looks like Gayle might be out for the series...

IPL is still 4 months or so away - so he knows he has plenty of time to recover - injury and form :pleasantry: :sinister:
