Delhi High court allows RTI activist Mr. Rakesh Kumar Singh to file PIL against “Indian Rupee symbol selection process”.

Mr. Rakesh Kumar Singh had submitted a LPA petition in the Delhi High Court challenging Delhi HC earlier judgment in which court had refused to entertain his petition challenging selection process of New Indian Rupee Symbol.

After hearing the LPA, Hon'ble Chief Justice and Hon'ble Mr. Justice Sanjiv Khanna of Delhi High Court in their judgment said “We learned senior counsel appearing for the appellant submitted that he may be permitted to withdraw the appeal as he really does not have the grievance solely because the symbol has not been accepted but he intends to challenge the procedural aspects which are adopted by the Union of India at various levels relating to such kind of works which affect various provisions of the Official Languages Act and many other provisions of various statutes as well as Article 14 of the Constitution of India.

In view of the aforesaid, we are inclined to permit the withdrawal of the appeal with liberty to file a Public Interest Litigation with the appropriate pleadings and data which are necessary to sustain a Public Interest Litigation.” Order: LPA 310/2011

corruption is the way of life here...just to mention another example which really surprised me, talking to magic auto owners operating between Noida and Gr. Noida, known for heavy overloading of passengers, these people shell out 15,000 bucks a month to the cops who are meant to patrol the Gr. Noida expressway. no wonder they're dangerously overloading these things like crazy, people even ****ing stand on a little bumper sort of thing... and this is on a high speed highway.. i routinely see these patrol policemen stopping and asking for their 'fees'.whats more, even a roadside chicken stall owner shells out 10,000 bucks to the cops plus about 5000 bucks worth of chicken a month..this menace of corruption is very deeply rooted from the lowest to the high levels of authorities..ya i know nothing new but sort of depressing.

How could we think about clean Gov. from Congress ?
Like Tushar, I too am no fanboy of any party or person.
However, I deeply distrust these statements. First of all, I haven't yet seen any authoritative source for the quotes. Cyberspace is filled with statements quoting one another.
The second reason for my lack of trust in your statement is the fact that you claim this was back in 1991. We have had terms of non-Congress government after that date. Why did no government take up this matter more seriously if it was true? My logic is that it is either false or the other guys are equally corrupt and can't afford to point fingers.
Feel free to disagree but give me a logical response.

^since u are asking logical response , logically there is hardly any corruption in the country by big names,party leaders,politicians,corporate honchos at all, since nobody is convicted , if u remember any conviction pls report here, i think logically there is no corruption.

^ I am not speaking of conviction here. All I am saying is that this allegation about Sonia's millions is being made without any evidence apart from cross referencing those who make the allegations. I am not saying it is true or false. Please read what I have written carefully. The BJP was in power for a full term after this "revelation". Yet there was no mention of this by them nor did they seek to prosecute.To me, this either means there is no basis to the allegation or the BJP leadership also has their own skeletons in the cupboard.Can you clearly indicate where you stand on this?
