Internet connection through RJ45 not working on NET-Link modem with kerala vision connection. WIFI works

Hi,
I am unable to directly connect to NET-LINK HG323DAC modem and access internet, where as it works on WIFI. Not sure what is the configuration I should change. Also, I am not getting the required speed for connection. 100MBPS connection gives around 30MBPS on WIFI with low (15MBPS) upload. Can anyone help?

You won't be getting 100Mbps on WiFi with that router.

For the ethernet, connect a laptop or pc using ethernet, I'm assuming you have windows:

1. Open cmd
2. Type in ipconfig and see if it is getting an ip address
3. Try pinging the default gateway you got earlier, for example "ping 192.168.1.1"
3. If it is getting an ip address, try "nslookup google.com" without quotes.
4. If it gives an ip address, try doing "tracert google.com"

Thanks for your response. I have connected the laptop with ethernet and tried the commands.
ipconfig shows "Media disconnected" and also the ping gives destination unreachable.
Might be showing it as lan port not enabled? how to troubleshoot further? Which area to look for the lan port on Router?

First there is no configuration on that router that would prevent you from having no dhcp on the lan port if you are getting connectivity on the wifi interface,both the lan Ethernet interface and Wifi interface is always bridged, so it follows that both will be working if the router has internet

figure out why your Ethernet adapter isn't getting an IP address,this could be many reasons involving a disabled adapter to a faulty Ethernet jack on the computer your trying to connect or even a faulty jack on the router, which can be diagnosed by using another Ethernet jack on the router

also like already stated to get 100mbps on wifi you would need a better wifi access point connected to the Netlink modem

Hello, i bought Netlink (HG323RGW) modem few days back.. Wifi works good but LAN ports are not working. Even i can't configure my modem using LAN ports, wifi only works. I. Changed my modem configuration using my mobile. I really don't know how to fix this problem. LAN1 light in modem works but My Pc shows Ethernet Unidentified Network. I tried all youtube tutorials but the solution is unknown.
