The comparison provided in the link is very much biased towards the cable TV operators. If what they claim is very true, why people are shifting from cable to DTH platform? As per my view, the basic things which prompts people to migrate are
1, The rudeness of the cable operator (should have changed by now as the competitor, DTH is now in the picture.)
2, Frequent disconnection due to cable cut, power failure etc etc etc
3, Customer care - a BIG joke.
4, Clarity is very poor, if you are not using an STB
5, If you ask for new channels, the default answer is NO.
6, Value added services - Nil till now.
Once, they work to improve these things, they will retain the huge mass of people who are still with them.

I am a 2 day old satisfied customer of sun dth!the pic quality is really better than SKY or DishtV!the package for kerala is just fine for me and others in kerala!

Don't worry SUN DTH is the worst in the whole world. People will realise it very soon as I had a few weeks back !!!!

Also they change the channel allocation frequently.
i.e., what you get on channel 4 will get shifted to another channel.

They can read what is there in computer monitor in front of them.. if you ask any question.. they say... they do not know. 2. It is a indirect way of cheating the customers. 3. Though you pay additional 25/- outside TN for tamil channels, still there is no RAJ TV, Jaya Max and other new channels. friend all we know if the channel list increases the price also will increase .. no doubt in it .. u dont worry for it .if it is worthy we never hesitate to pay more...let us wait for some more time what will happen ..

dishtv also using ddd+ channels but ur paying 350rs for them......after paying 350 in ddd+ u cannot get ndtv channels,9x,neo sports,neo sports plus, if u want to see all 180 channels, other regional channels in dishtv u have to pay 350 + additional package .........
In Tata Sky u have to pay 350+ for see only 126 channels there is also rajtv channels not avilable.......if u want to see Lifestyle gold and sports gold u have to pay extra amount,, to receive all channels in tatasky u required to pay 421rs........
every product has its advantages and disadvantages........

nothing is free in this worldi agree with u guys for paying 350rs in Tata Sky/dishtv do u get all ur language channels if so whts the use and ur worrying for rs 75 for not adding jaya max and rajtvfor me (kerala-malayalam) package iam 100% satisfied becuse i am getting all the malayalam channels (14 all are fta channels) iam waiting for sundth adding star,Sony and zee packages no doubt for addtional pay channels u need to paybut the main diffrence between tatsky/dishtv with sundth is ur base package for rs 75 u get all ur local language channels as ur base package + addional cost for the channels u required but in tatsky/dishtv base package is not ur local language its based on hindi and not included all ur local language so there is a diffrence in monthly cost dont forget ur paying rs 50 for only sun package in tatasky(total 350) every product has its advantages and disadvantages........ if ur wise u buy only the product that gives u wht u want (or maximum)
