Yes, its worth shifting from Airtel to Reliance because of no FUP and as far as I had used (1 year), not even single disconnection occured :D

I don't know if it's worth migrating to Reliance or not but I suggest you go for it. Test it for a month and if you're satisfied, continue with it else dump it.

yeah go for Reliance :) you will get more download and upload speed as per your plan. As per my 2 weeks experience, WiMax 1.5 Mbps unlimited plan with static IP in which i am getting 1.8 Mbps download and 2.63 Mbps Upload :) always

Well, even i am a satisfied user of Reliance wired line....(Emil will know this for sure!!)

And mine was a "Fairy tale" like case....

When i ordered their CC for a "Form filling" their guy was at my residence the very next day. Then, due to my exams, i called them at a very later date - about 10 odd days later....

The date was the completion of my exam, and the time - when i return from exam centre.....

And Guess What!! When i reached home, we got a call from their CC/ Co-ordinator, that the guys were on their way......yes, so they came just about 10-15 minutes late than the scheduled time!!

And i had 2-3 issues while using -

1) Once the line was dead, i called them up at 5 in the morning, and they were home by 11:30 that very morning - and the fault was a silly one.....the connection got loose due to the Diwali clean-up work.
2) The line was down - i called up CC & withing 15 minutes, it was active again.
3) Very recent - the connection port of the wire was damaged....i called up at 12:30 in the noon, and they came by 4 that evening.....

So, the issues arent really their faults & if it is, then their CC - ATLEAST IN OUR AREA is nothing short of EXCELLENT - Really....no fanboy thing this - i am very critical in this aspect.....

Reliance said a no no to my area when most of the major internet providers are here.....but the CC person told that they have a network coverage in my area....i think reliance works well only in North India

^^^^I have heard Reliance Wired line operating in Mumbai & Delhi....and even Kolkata from one of the members here.....dont know if they are very much widespread in any particular region!!And i think, due to this small coverage, they are giving better CC in these markets - atleast the Wired Internet people......

Jaymin I am happy that you are getting great quality of service and CC for both your connections. Taken in isolation, your case makes it tempting to go for Reliance. However, I am still holding back for the following reasons:
1. Although my MTNL connection is not great, it is not that bad to compel me to change to Reliance.
2. I am contemplating a change but it will be for something vastly better like Fivenet or Hayai. Both are not yet available to me.
3. I have a significant issue with anything Reliance. Part of it is experience and part is prejudice born of such experience. Somewhere in my subconscious mind the word Reliance and the word chor are indelibly associated.

Emil...

I can very much understand this fact!! And thats the prime reason why i emphasised on the term "ATLEAST IN MY AREA"......i know others may not be getting this level of service....

In fact, tomorrow if the staff changes, then even i may not get the same.....thats why, i said "Right now" & "In my Area".....

Else in general too, i can only say that - i havent heard much "Negative" about Reliance Wired Net....

Else, even i associate the terms "Reliance" & "Chor" very often......especially for their DTH CC!!

Let me post a general remark for all -

Friends, overall this is a decent service. And to know more of it, it would be advisable to confirm the quality from local users too.....If u r the first one in ur locality, then atleast try to know it from someone of the same city.
