Yes, Admin is right!! U have to enter Username & password (Though u save in ur browser) everytime u switch on ur PC.....may be it is not needed if u Restart - ie, the Warm Restart. But still, i have learned to live with it!! At times it does get annoying.

Hi jymn2005,

So it means that Reliance software will be installed on the computer? And we have to log-in from that?
Can I connect my existing Wi-Fi router (Buffalo Airstation) to the Reliance Modem? What type/brand of modem does Reliance install?

No. No software on ur PC. U just have to use ur browser to browse to their page....u need to enter the username & Password there.

Router - they do not give a router unless u opt for their landline (Attractive schemes there too!!). Even if they do give, u can use ur own Wireless router - provided it is compatible with Reliance.....i dont remember the technical terms they used, but i remember that my old MTNL's router was not compatible with it.

U ask their technical guy, he will be knowing it.

How will you configure it to a wireless router?

As i said, it is compatible with Wireless routers, if u buy 1. I am not using it, just that their technical guy told this to me. And whenever u connect from any Wi-fi compatible device, i think u will need to enter Username & Password to connect once......THIS IS JUST MY GUESSWORK. I DONT KNOW THE REAL THING.

well. whoever contacts you wrt Reliance... get some details from him about folks in your locality using reliance broadband. you might not know any, but there might be other folks using their network in your area.

i should warn you however... there are a lot of reliance folks here who have been either duped or are facing issues with installation. a person would come to your place. would collect a check or cash payment of 500 bucks in the name of installation charges. and the installation would never happen.

recent examples are however better. the 500 rupee installation fee is added to the first bill. so be a bit careful about that.

hi all, finally now i'm with reliance wireline broadband. Would open a new thread & narrate my story...till then bye

if you are not logged in, the browser would open their login page on any website. similar to how it works in Hotels and other places where wifi is password protected.

@raj2007 If you interested in Static IP go for it, Rs. 2000/- for one year. kindly post images what they provided to you like PoE ADSL modem or just Ethernet cable directly coming from BTS switches.
