Hi AllDecided to go with reliance and contacted their CC for connection request. They said the local executive will get in touch with me asap. will keep you guys posted.

Even I disconnected airtel broadband and opted for Reliance broadband. But, I think I made a mistake. Reliance people are n00bs. :(My connection is just 3 days old and I'm already facing n number of problems. :|

Could you list out the probs? Mine too 3 days old & my only problem is that i get only 800-850 kbps in Night 1 mbps. In day(600 kbps) its fine..

Could you list out the probs?

1) Unable to play (even 360p) videos from video streaming sites like YouTube, Vimeo, Metacafe, etc. without "buffering". Video is not playing/streaming smoothly and is getting stuck every 5 seconds even though I'm on a 1 Mbps connection. I'm getting ~140 KBps while downloading the same videos from YouTube. :@

2) The "LAN" LED on the Billion BiPAC 5200S RF ADSL modem is constantly blinking even though there's no data transfer.

3) You just can't open the modem's login page on Reliance. No matter what modem you use, the login page will not open.

4) The Reliance login portal is slow during the day. It's overloaded and underpowered.

5) Reliance DNS is BS. It's down most of the time.

6) Customer care is retarded. Even BSNL customer care is a lot better than this...

7) Some packet loss during the day.

I don't think I'll be able to use this connection for more than a month. :wall:

Is any of you facing any of the above mentioned problems on your Reliance broadband? Especially the YouTube streaming one?

Not facing any of these problems......For me streaming is a problem by default, coz i am on a measly 300 kbits/s connection......else, never found any issue.Btw, are u sure the CC isnt responding as well?? Coz for me they attend & solve the issue within 24 hours, even if it involves coming to my home....

1) My night 1 mbps(10pm-8am) checked with speedtest gives only 800-850 kbps all the time. Buffering is there but i hope it will not be there when i may get the full speed.Could you please post the speedtest results here?

2) I dont care unless it's a major threat issue

3) Can't get you in that

4) A little bit slow but no complaints as of now

5) sorry...what's that?

6) I somewhat felt that....

7) so what?

Tell me the other ISP options u have...better than this?

No offense here....we're fupped by airtel & this one is more than enough for time being....

The service will vary from place to place.Just need to make sure that the location has good service...Even am curious to know the reviews in Bangalore before I move to Reliance!

@raj....

Ur problem doesnt seem to be that grave.....coz 800-850 is about 80% of the promised bandwidth......

Btw, i have assumed that u r mentioning "800-850Kbits/s" as opposed to 800-850 KBytes/s.......

If its Kbytes, then u r more than lucky, and if its kbits, then i think it should be fair enough......
