@raj....

Ur problem doesnt seem to be that grave.....coz 800-850 is about 80% of the promised bandwidth......

Btw, i have assumed that u r mentioning "800-850Kbits/s" as opposed to 800-850 KBytes/s.......

If its Kbytes, then u r more than lucky, and if its kbits, then i think it should be fair enough......

Its 800-850 kbps speed, 90-95kb/s. How come in the day i'm getting exact 600 kbps/70-75 kb/s?

May be u need to contact the CC......may be a slight problem would be there, not a major one - i think u also must be knowing coz its just 15-20 Kbytes short.....did u ask them the reason for this issue??

The CC also said the same thing u told me. My question is if its 80% bandwidth how come i'm getting 100% during the day....If its for a wireless then i agree with it....

I read ur story on other thread......Appears that u have fixed it "Temporarily". Do let us know what happens tonite.......i mean speed!! :)If it doesnt get solved, then u better call them up to ur place. Just hope they are as responsive there, as they are here!!

Not facing any of these problems......
Are you sure about that? :O

I still don't understand why the damn "LAN" LED on this Billion modem is blinking so much... It blinks even though internet LED is stable. This is very annoying as I've hooked up this modem to my Netgear WGR614 router and this NETGEAR thing has big bright LED for LAN and it keeps on blinking continuously even there's no data transfer. :|

I can accept everything except:

1) Video streaming problem. :@
2) Packet loss. :@

What's the use of paying 1.2k+ INR per month if I can't even stream fukin 360p YouTube vids? I was able to stream all 360p vids on my airtel without any prob. I'm not gonna keep quiet. They'll have to fix this shit.

iChaitanya,
Please provide us your overall view on relaince broadband connection. I am waiting for it.
I'm currently facing various problems with this Reliance thing. I'll post a detailed review once all these problems are sorted out.

If you have to choose between BSNL broadband and Reliance broadband, go for BSNL.

@ichaitanya haha...you are worried about all things except the 100% speed on 1 mbps....mine is totally opposite to yours...Could you post the speedtest results here?

Connectivity with Reliance is not consistent. I have to admit. And yes, streaming is an issue. The data transfer gets chocked even when watching a normal quality video on youtube. But, you never know the situations could be totally different for you.

I am already a subscriber of BSNL. Had Airtel bb earlier. So as of now i am planning to stick to BSNL after reading your reviews.

LOL how you can BSNL is better then Reliance Broadband. FYI BSNL never give you 99% uptime and no one in customer care will gonna help you :D all dumbo. Reliance wireline broadband uses Metro Ethernet Technology not ADSL Telephone 62 years old crappy copper cable. BSNL disconnect you after 6 hours like MTNL Delhi and Mumbai do check your modem LOG page :D

To stream videos without buffering you can use speedbit video accelerator....that will work..
