MTNL 512 combo unlm + TATA 1 Mbps UNLM
Actually sort of a brave step to take VSNL after the rep. it has in this forum but my spectranet connection is sucking and i needed 1 more line to go with the MTNL unlm. So far no problems with customer care or installation getting full 256 Kbps as well , although speedtest.net is showing between 256-300 but im getting exact 32KBps on big downloads. Strange i'm synced at 2Mbps. May be TATA VSNL in delhi is better than other cities. Lets hope it doesnt gives lot of downtime.!!

Yeh also post your review after a month or two . Many people have had incredibly bad experience with TATA broadband , but for me its working good till now ( 2 months )

Have they started showing colours?Sales rep. told me I can upgrade my connection to 512, even told me the difference of amount i'll have to pay extra. Now when i got a call from them to confirm the connection they tell me its not possible to change the plan till 4 months in post paid. DAMN LIARS! I could have gone for prepaid which is cheaper and gives dynamic ip if I knew this.

that happened with me also. I took 128kbps unlimited plan initially and tried to change the plan to 256kbps unlimited, but they said it is not possible. I needed to wait for total 6 months before my 128kbps plan expired.

I was also having a similar doubt as per info provided in the web site. I have a unlimited plan valid upto mar 08, but I wanted to change to a vol based plan. This is the reply I got from customer care. But I have not changed my plan till now.

^^ I was suggested by the local guy that this is not possible. May be he was not aware of this feature.I had not changed the plan at that moment. I waited for three months after which the 128 kbps plan expired and then switched to time based plan.Has anybody tried this?

I've still got that tata brodband brochure on which the sales rep did the calculations to explain me how many extra i'll have to pay in his own handwriting,If i ever need to upgrade before 4 months i might be able to use that paper as tool and force them to do so.It was a pre sales enquiry afterall!

But I dont think they mention anything about the cancellation policy in agreement .. the way you guys are saying. .. They told me that I can change the plan anytime... Sales guy told me that once a bill is generated, I can change it whereas tech guy told me that I can change it anytime and it wil be change on Pro-rata basis.
