I had ben using Hathway since 2 years, but there cutomer support service is pathetic, whenever my net is down it takes at least one week for a engineer to visit and rectify the problem. But this time its a limit its almost 20 days, even after calling up several times no one is concern. They just reply cable is damage will take 2 days, 3 days and all. Indeed i applied to disconnect for that also no reply.I stay at Mulund Colony can anyone help me tro know which are other broadband services provider in and around that area Thanks in advance!

if you value your money enough then switch to MTNL broadband.

I know that MTNL is good from many people, but i am not sure about there after service, and secondly they said that the new connection takes approximately a month and a half, I am evn considering Tata indicom plug n surf that is good but then again its very expensive unlimited is for 1000 bucks

airtel is fabulous if they have a presence in your area.

Thats the sad story there is no feasibility in my area

Well, Customer Service is pathetic for all / most of the service providers. Before you buy, i strongly suggest to go thru all ISPs listing in this site. You will get a good idea about their pros / cons.I have really bad experiance from TATA... so i will never recomd them to anyone... Precisely this is the reason that I am shifting back to state owned BSNL.

how much did you spend as installation charges for hathway??? after all this headache, the annoying thing would be to look for another ISP and shed out installation charges yet again. this is where the govt. ISP's come in... tata indicom plug n surf has a even badder review than sify here. if your looking for a long term internet connection the go for mtnl or bsnl or which ever you have in ur area. the after service is not bad compared to others ISP's listed here. airtel has a very clean reputation than most private players though there penetration is limited to cities.bsnl and mtnl have some aggressive plans to roll out broadband services in the future and some predict "free internet" among one of them so expect a few private players to quit the scene.look towards the future and choose wisely. nobody likes paying installation charges again and again.

I feel you should visit your local MTNL telephone exchange with a copy of your recent paid bill and chat up the broadband chaps there with a 'lots of humility'. I am sure you will find that the MTNL tri-band broadband is not only the cheapest for the content and output but in the medium run the service is still the better of the rest. After some teething troubles, you will get 95% good results.
