@igloo Isnt getting a IP phone cheaper than that ?

How to get voice calling activated in BSNL Bharat Airfiber?

  1. Put your Ubiquiti antenna in bridge mode.
  2. In your Wi-Fi router, change the mode to PPPoE and enter your Airfiber username, password and other credentials given by BSNL/Franchise.
  3. In VLAN setup, add one VLAN Tag for internet (e.g 140) and one VLAN Tag for voice (e.g 1830) as given by BSNL. Save and reboot.
  4. Connect IP Phone to the LAN port of your router and access its admin page in PC. Inside the admin page, enter DNS, IP addresses provided by BSNL.
  5. Wait for a few minutes and try calling from the landline device. It will work.
Please check your franchise/local BSNL office for IP addresses and other credentials as it varies from circle to circle.

The above method works in Linksys E5600 + Grandstream 1620.

Can we use any voip app on our phone to use the calling facility over wifi?

Go for Panasonic or beetel.
OP needs an VOIP phone while the model number you mentioned is a normal telephone.
There is no need of VOIP phone normal Analog Phone can work.To use an Analog phone you must have wireless Voip Router with FXS for converged Voice and data.
You can directly connect RJ9/RJ11 cable in the FXS port of the router and can enjoy voice feature with any analog instrument.

Flying Voice FWR 8101 Wireless VOIP Router. is compatible with BSNL Bharat Airfibre.

@Sai My question is again, why only solution with VoIP phone.. In the mass market still people are well versed with Analog phones.
On solution point of view we should consider all available options . Whether someone wants to use Analog phone obviously option is available, An IP- Phone Or softphone again yes option is available.
Performance of any device or a solution is judged basis user experience in a mass not basis self assessment.
