Lasko Electrostatic Air Purifiers

Wire is easy to remove when it's broken. I guess i would just use a brush for the edge balls.

Filter light not coming on even once in the past 12 months is still an issue though 🫠

yet to get a ping from a human from their side. i changed the cable just in case.

also did a reset of the filter warning light. the light did flashed out so it is definitely not disconnected. i just do not understand why it has not lit up even once in the last year 🤣

Light blinked when I resetted the device by keeping the power button pressed for five seconds in off mode. I can only tell if warning light would come on now after a few weeks of usage I guess. I also replaced the cable which may or may not help 🤣

I do miss the crackling sound it used to make. Would find out in a few weeks 🥹

Using a torch/flash see if all fans inside are running when switched on Could be that one of the fans has malfunctioned and hence its not cleaning as efficiently as before (and the cracking sound that goes with it)

both fans are definitely running. i can feel the air coming from both top and bottom part 😁

i am not saying that it is not cleaning properly. filter gets dirty in a matter of weeks and i can see all the black dust coming out of it when i wash it with water. that is not the problem part. i am more worried about if the ozone filter is working.

the cable is of course working because without it the machine won't start. it is clear that the cable completes the circuit for the device to work somehow. lack of noise sort of indicates that i might have damaged some bit during a cleaning probably.

The cable/wire creates a high voltage electrostatic field that helps catching the pollutants.i guess the purifiers working fine. Maybe try burning an incense stick behind it n check for crackling 🤪

i mean if the ozone filter is not working, i might be giving the entire family headaches for no good reason.

have to order a purifier for fufaji... can't decide whether i should go with this or a hepa based model now.

Am sure the filters are working just fine as there is nothing too technical in its assembly/functioning. If ask me would recommend going for this one only as its effective /tried n tested only thing is that it requires cleaning/manual . I guess going the traditional route(hepa based) for fufaji would be better with ideally a remote and display. Guess go for one that has readily available filters(hopefully cheap) and good service/support/warranty.
