NDTV did highlight that 19 of the winners were "indo"Canadian...
As if that's an achievement...
 
They last removed a coin in the 1850s... And here we have been losing the lowest coin, atleast every decade. 50p is almost dead... I am not sure even Re.1 will survive till 2020...
 
25p died in 2011. RBI informed its no longer legal tender 2-3 years ago.. 50p, though rare, can be seen - Though there is nothing it can buy on its own(I guess). Maybe in maller towns?

I have been handed over two 50p coins in public transport in this year. I might have the odd coin(s) in some coin box (like a piggy bank)
