LED TV from Malaysia or Singapore

Would be travelling to Malaysia and Singapore in March & would like to buy an LED TV. I have zeroed in on https://www.samsungindiaestore.com/Products/Television/40ES5600_40ES5600 The cost on online Samsung store is 62K, But the prices in retail is almost 52K.

Am basically looking for 40" LED full HD. In case there are any other models which are similar specs (Sony/LG), Please recommend me.

Also, If anyone has bought TV from the above countries let me know the shops and the procedure from customs.

the 3d is at par with nice cinema hall.........yes all scenes are not equally good, but all scenes cannot be equally good because the fighting or special scenes always are better than an office or home scene ,you know what i mean .you will get same theatre experience but on a small screen thats it
i recommend 3d tv only, if you are sports and fast action movie buff, because due to 3d inbilt , refrsh rates are always better in 3d tv , otherwise 3d will be bad, so 3d tv all the way even if you dont like 3d , and not gonna watch it , doesnt matter .
last few days watched atleast 1 movie per day all HD minimum 720 p, and most 1080 p, and ofcourse 3d too, and its amazing movie experiene on this es6200 , just awsome clarity

Do any know about the custom rules and regulation in Bangalore. Moreover I am also not getting any international warranty also.

From what I have gathered, the official line is based on price and not size. Its upto 35k INR (if you went for >3 days). If the TV costs more than 35k INR (according to their valuation), then the duty is around 36% on the amount by which it exceeds 35k. But the general experience seems to be that with 32" TV's, they rarely bother. 40", depends, the officials at Bangalore/Chennai airports seem to be stricter as opposed to others.

Why not buy from India itself like places Gaffar Market which sell Samsung 32 inch LED for 19000 or so.
I am sure you won't get this price easily even in Singapore etc.
even if you get similar price, Import Duty, or pain to convince the Airport Authority plus the risk of damage to carry it would be more than what these stores offer.
Same sellers are selling on ebay.in for like 21-22k might be due to shipping and insurance + Ebay commission.
This certainly is one of things I've on list for my next delhi trip.

I suggest to compare all these (Sony / LG / Samsung) for same specs. May be price will be vary but you can decide easily.
I will not suggest for online shopping. First get visual experience then decide.

- Does internet work on TV well using home Wi-Fi..I have an Airtel Wi-Fi..
- Any issues on warranty of these TVs..i heard these TVs are not covered by warranty in India.

1. Yes the internet works pretty fine on these TV's.
2. No warranty on TV's bought from outside India.

I am flying to Singapore on 21st Aug 2013 i will be ther til 24th Aug. i Want to buy a LED tv, i am looking for preferablly Sony Bravia series, 32 inches. Can you suggest me good model of sony or any other brand and also the preferable shops in singapore from whr to buy. I will be landing at Mumbai airport.
So can any1 guide me on prices, model, place to buy, and procedure at customs (both at Changi Airport and Mumbai Airport). Also i would like to know about the warranty/guarantees as no one has discussed about that in these posts.
Need your help quickly as i will flying in two days time.

Warranty status is mentioned in the post just above yours, there is none. For a 32", there is no point getting it, you can get a dealer warranty one from ebay for the same price. 720p models from Samsung are available ~22k and Sony ~25k. Full HD 32" from Samsung is available at 28k. You aren't going to get much lower prices than this in Singapore. Personally I'd recommend Samsung over Sony.
