something tells me that will not hold up in court.. it isn't very well written for use in a courtroom is it? :( anyway i will be keeping my fingers crossed.. and pity he is not asking them to improve the speed of their services.. he just wants them to be forthecoming of limits in their packs like the 75 mb one

In the second page of the doc it goes like this also in the first page "Grievance" pt #1
The condition was: after 700 MB download of data in a month, the speed will be reduced to 14 Kbps, purpose being to encourage the sale of their expensive packages, as the person, who feels unsatisfied with the speed, will resort to the other expensive packages.[/b]

it is 75 MB per day and 2kBps(bytes p/s0 or 16Kbps(bits p/s)

earlier it was supposed to be 700megs per month. now its 75megs a day. :) none of these figures is official. but both of them i have heard from the Sify People on the phone.

well i wish him good luck.. maybe he weill succeed in bringing us real broadband.. i would help him except for the fact that i am quite happy with my connection and can't risk sif terminating my connection.. :( i don't wanna risk having to go back to dialup

you cannot force a company to give you something that they cannot give. the whole point of the case is that they did not give what they promised. and they never promised to give you broadband. the points are:the packages are misleading.they are not performing the way they should.services are bad.and not... that since they have broadband name in the company name, they ougta give us broadband. though the document demands them to drop the name broadband. but expecting it would be somewhat farfetched.and no one is dragging u to court to testify. so please, don't pretend that you are scared.

Good Reply Sushubh :) The problem between KBps and kbps, I have fixed in my copy.Mr Bhinder, this is just going to go in Consumer court and not any other court, so according to layman's standard, it's ok. And need not comply with any specific format or standards.

@BhinderI know that the night only pack is good coz I am using it myself. But that does not make them a good company in my opinion. Reason being I had to change my schedule to fit their package. And I thought, Customer was supposed to be the king.I am happy that you are happy. Sify oughta be proud that they have 1 happy customer in you. Maybe write a mail to the customer care telling them they are doing a great job. That might get you a reply back...
