LibreOffice

@ Samm, did u edit ur post??Coz i read something else in the email.....Anyways, i didnt have any issues with what u wrote....:)About Piracy of Microsoft Tools (NOT AGAIN) i would say only 1 thing - the more controls they try to put, the more the hackers get determined to show them that "all ur efforts are waste".In the past when i used it, i didnt knew much about options available......now i know of these Open source Suites & i have shifted to it.And when u use these Open Source apps, u feel disgusted "Was i fool enough to use a software that was Pirated & still did the same task that this software does??"Anyways, lets not get into the same topic again.......OPEN SOURCE ZINDABAD!!In the near future want to get rid of this OS too......

Yes, I edited my post, I thought what's the point puking all that stuff.
When you know already what I mean, glad you got the original post in your mail.
Actually, I don't mind spending on MS products as for me it has proved bang for the buck.

BTW I just downloaded LibreOffice, installing it right now.

Crap, the problem still exist .

Is that problem specific to Win7?? I just checked mine......i am getting only 1 option named Libre Office Writer....And as regards spending, well if i find any feature that is uncommon, and useful, i may spend. That too if i can get some benefit out of that uncommon feature ;)

did you try out the regedit method mentioned above? it should work!also check out: Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Default Programs\Set Associations

I tried the association settings it just shows one entry of each program.
In the registry settings, I see the following:

I tried to repair libreoffice file association via control panel,
then weird thing appears, I can't select or deselect the check boxes.

Aaah! That's so simple if that was the issue I would have done it already.
I am getting two options of the same program while right-clicking(Open With command)

I am feeling to Format my PC and install Ubuntu or throw my system in a gutter :bored:
Just a while ago soluto got insane, CPU usage shooted to 98% and my ventilation fan was about to fly breaking roof of my room.

i do not understand why you are so bothered about the extra entries in the open with menu.

I should no na, what the hell is wrong with my PC :smiley-ashamed005:BTW do you have MS Office installed on your system?

nothing is wrong. installation and uninstallation of apps create clutter that might not be removed properly by the installers/uninstallers. and yes i have microsoft office installed on my machine. my screenshot shows MS Word right? :)
