Line Stats ok but speed very poor

Ok here are my line stats Down UPSNR Margin 34.0db 35.0dbLine Attenuation 12.5db 5.5dbData Rate 2044 Kbps 262 KbpsLatency Interleaved Interleavedi think my line stats are ok {plz comment if not}bt i am getting pathetic speeds of 3-9KBps!!only around 3am in the night do i get a respectable speed of 40-50KBpsand that too in torrents only. not from normal sites. even if i download a simple song from songs.pk i get 5KBps @ 3.00am (or any time also)My plan is Trib 649Combo (Delhi)Speed- 256kbps to 2mbpsLimit- 5GBEarlier i used to get good speeds [100-KBps +]Plz help

u need to set TCP-stats to 1492 somewhere.... search n download tcpdoctor - that should do the trick... also go thru sticky's (posts in top).... such things are already discussed....

i checked out the sticky section but it didnt help coz u see my problem is different (as posted above..)
my line stats are OK.

i downloaded tcp doctor. cud u tell me plz which value do i need to modify in TCP doctor.

this might be bcoz of that undersea cable cut problem or something exchange specific issue..even i encountered things like u said couple of weeks back.jst wait for a couple of days and see if the condition improves.your line is fine, infact it's in very good condition.

i dont know how to check these line stats so cant say if thats fine or not.
i sent a mail to [email protected] they say that ur tel no. does not show vmac comfirm vmac from 1504. iv talked to 1504 ppl for like 100 times everytime i get a new rply. i dnt know wat to do. saurabhroy is ur conn workin fyn now? which area r u from ??

your line stats are not ok, they are awesome! seriously, you have a very good line.

regarding your problem, it has to be with your PC. check if you have any viruses/trojans/spyware etc. also are you sure the source you are downloading from gives good speed? try some other better source.

Problem solved. It was MTNL's own problem. They said that they buy servers etc from Ericsson and this was a server problem and Ericsson team has solved the problem.Back to good speeds I am from Pitampura. This type of problem will affect those ppl most who are the farthest from exchange (and hence farthest from servers)What happens is that the max speed that u can get from 1 connection is drastically reduced.I used to get good speeds in heavily seeded torrents coz in utorrent u can set the global no of connections that ur machine will make.So to get some good speed u have to set the no. of connections to a higher value (since the throughput of each connection is now reduced)but web browsing will suffer badly. I recommend DAP to speed up downloads from normal sites. (i used to get 2-7KBps and with DAP it was 20-25KBps)And all these are temporary. Do them until ur problem is solved !and to think,those are the line stats i get when my extension (2734xxxx) is the farthest one from its exchangeover 10 kms:dance:

i think my speed's back too. im from adarsh ngr its nt very far frm pitam pura.. maybe d same issue was here too.. neways... i'v got one more problem tht im not able to login at register.bol.net.in. its says this service is no longer available for you or somthin lyk tht.

yes this is the another problem from of our area. Apparently this checking thing's server is located in Baadli area and it is out for a long time.

i log into this now regularly. If u cant do even this, try using "DUMeter" a very good software for monitoring broadband stats ( how much download have u done etc)
