I dunno where to post this but if its in a wrong section, admin please move it to right one.thanks
I have a software running in my office on the local network and all the PCs have the access to it thru web browser. The problem arises is i dont want to assign a fix IP to the server PC and its IP changes as DHCP is enabled. Is it possible to enter a PC's name(server) in the address bar with the link to the software to open.(eg..server/abc.php)? so instead of ever changing IP address i can input the name to access the software. I have seen this somewhere and dont know how to implement it. Any suggestions? All this is needed on local network only and no net connectivity is involved. Thank You.
