Looking for a Second Hand Car for Delhi NCR

I'm currently in search of a car primarily for use within Delhi NCR for the next 2-5 years, with a budget of 5 lacs.

Initially, I considered purchasing a car from a friend who was planning to sell his own, which seemed like a great option. However, he had other plans, so I'm back on the lookout for a car again.

The primary reason I'm interested in a second-hand car is that I only require it for the next 2 years, with a maximum usage of 5 years.

If it weren't for this 2-5 year timeframe, I would likely opt for a new CVT car instead.

If any of you can recommend a reliable online platform for purchasing a used car, I'd greatly appreciate it!

One of my ex-colleagues bought a Baleno from Spinny and they seem to offer one month warranty wherein if we come across any issues, we can return the car (need to be verified).

not trying to highjack your thread but I too am looking for a 2nd hard car.

From what I have seen, the 2nd hand car market is grossly overpriced. For example - people who bought their car for 5 lakhs 5 years ago, are selling it at the same price, despite it being 5 years old.

2nd owner, 70k kms... doesn't matter.

same with olx, facebook marketplace, cars24, spinny. They are grossly overpriced.

Ideally, I'd like to buy the car from a person and not from a dealership but I am not sure how to go about it since I do not have anyone near me who is selling their car and dealers are freakin everywhere.

No worries, I would rather have everyone discuss their experience and requirements here because that increases their reach and gets them a good deal.

I agree with you @Aakash Malhotra! This is precisely why I wanted to buy my friend's car, I even offered to match the best deal he is getting from anyone else, because I wanted a peace of mind over paying less for a car. Getting a car in an 'alright' condition with the correct readings on the odo matters much more and I hate negotiations.

What's your budget and the requirements?

My cousin also bought a honda city from spinny 2 years ago and he's happy with it. But used priced recently have become very high. Especially for Honda, Hyundai and Maruti.

Best would be to buy from a company like Nissan since their cars don't sell much so prices are sensible.

it'll be my first ever car. So I am aiming within a budget a 2-3 lakhs. I'll use the car for a couple of months, polish my driving skills and then get a new one.

I was looking at a used i10 nios, or i20 or honda city but I can't seem to find these within this budget. Well I can but these are like 10+ years old with like 70k on the odo


I will look at nissan but from what I have read, people recommend cars whose spare parts are easy to find aka hondas, maruti's etc. I am not sure about Nissan. How widely used they are and their spare parts availability and also their repair ability

I was in your position 6 years ago. Fortunately, I came across a 2012 i10 (Magna) with 20k on the ODO, in an okay condition for 2.2 lacs.

It was a direct deal, with no brokers involved! I have learned so much in the last many years and I am glad I got a second hand car.

you guys should try Maruti True Value or hyundai advantage official second-hand ones they offer a good deal.

spinny now is too overpriced.
