Looks like Airtel is removing the 299 topup and making all broadband plans unlimited!

I applied for Airtel Xstream fiber a few days back and yesterday i got call from airtel, i told them that their plans are not feasible and if they are offering unlimited data without 299 then i would consider it. I again got a call from the same guy just now and he told me that Airtel have changed their plans and are now offering unlimited data on all plans without paying 299 extra. Now i am thinking about switching to airtel as Jio is not available in my area.

I am sure this will happen as JIO announced new plans. Quota for broadband connections should be going away

Yes, Gone for Pune too. They might be revising something in the plans at the backend.
I have been unable to get hold of their cc , the IVR is a frustrating labyrinth.

@MadAxe They are offering me the 999 Plan with 300 INR Discount and Data roll over. But if they are going to remove FUP, Data roll over won't play any role. Though It might be cheaper for them to offer data roll over.

For CC Just call 121, then select 1,3,9. It takes you straight to the CC.

Yes, Also they are offering limited time 15% discount if you sign up for a long term plan. Quite amazing strategy to get people signed up for these shitty plans with lower FUP's and then after 2 days release the new plans with 3.3TB data cap.

Like Jio has upgraded existing subscribers to new plans, Airtel should also respect existing customers and upgrade the data and speeds whatever the new plans have, this 15% discount is from long time, 7.5% off for 6 months and 15% off for 12 months

Yes, i had taken the 6months ARP (Advanced rental plan) in march @7.5% discount.
I was furious over them for not giving the Independence plan benefit for existing customers. (1000GB extra over 6months)
Now I am keeping my fingures crossed, as the renewal is due next week.
Hope they change the plans over the weekend. 🤞🤞

There could be a server issue from their side! I am trying to login into the airtel app via OTP and it doesn't seem to be working.
