make iso file from CD/DVD

instead of making copies of my original vista dvds... i plan to save them as ISO on my backup disk. which freeware application should i use? on windows platform?

Linux - nothing can be more simple!! readcd dev=/dev/cdrom -v f=FILENAME.iso

can only confirm when i write this ISO to a blank and install vista using it on the laptop.

cool. i have the ISO saved to my hard disk now. i would respond back whenever i use this ISO to install.

google the md5. an RTM md5 would be easy to find. dunno about the OEM what disk you have?

its the disk that came with my Dell laptop. do you really think that the ISO made by individuals would match the ISO made by others of the same disk!?

if that was supplied by Dell itself, the md5 should match with other provided by dell on a contemporary similar model.no harm in trying, hope it helps.
