make iso file from CD/DVD

mine is not that faster. the md5 value comes out to be 8ecf3c544d367db05ef64c33fec292b9. google does not have anything :D
 
well yeah i burn on the slowest speed offered by the writing application. i would use the same app for burning the vista retail copy that i would have to install on the desktop which i am using. windows 7 rc would expire by march 2010 and i would have to do a reinstall before that.

It reminds me of those 2X drives I used in 1996. That time we wanted higher speeds
 
funny.. thats why always use linuxmd5sum FILENAME.iso ... wud give md5sum of filereadcd dev=/dev/cdrom -v f=- | md5sum ... wud give md5sum of CD:D easiest way to check if iso file is perfect!
 
so the second command would process all the content on the CD to make an ISO and then show the MD5 value?

winrar opened up the ISO file fine. showed the content inside it.

just need to test burn it.
