If anybody is looking for a powerful KDE-based distro that is not Ubuntu or Debian, give Manjaro a try. At first, you might feel that a lot of software doesn't have an official release for this distro. Which is understandable. But since Manjaro is based on Arch Linux and their developers have worked tirelessly to bring every imaginable software to the repo, there shouldn't be a problem for you to find your favorite software.

I was able to locate all the software I need on Manjaro. There were some issues, but they were easily rectified.

Recently Arch User Repo had some sort of malware and/or DDoS attack, that resolved?

I had tried Manjaro long time back but didn't stick with it , can't even remember why, there was some controversy so tried openSuse which I've stuck with since, as one of the multiple distros I have as a "penta boot" alongside Win11.

I didn't even know about the DDoS attack until now. lol

Also found out that earlier this month, Fedora was under a similar attack. The two distros I used both get attacked. lol

Please don't combine Manjaro and Arch Linux in the same context. It is as much based on Arch as much as Ubuntu is based on Debian. Which is not much.

None of the Arch official repo packages work correctly on Manjaro because they hold back their stable repo by a week, for no apparent benefit. If you use packages from the AUR you still will have issues sometimes due to AUR marking a requirement but Manjaro not having it (or not having the version updated yet).
