Hi,
I was trying to change dns server in the wifi settings (Model: H680GM-A) and as soon as I change that setting my IP address, DNSv4 and v6 went blank and my internet stopped working. I had made a backup of my wifi settings but even after restoring it, nothing happens. IP address stays blank and and DNSv4 address which should be fetched dynamically, doesn't fetch anything. Before changing settings I did note down the exact address and tried to add it manually but it doesn't work either.
I have tried some troubleshooting. One curious thing happens which brings me to this forum. After resetting my router, the internet comes back momentarily with ip address, dnsv4 and v6 address, I checked it by going into router settings and refreshing the page profusely (don't ask). However, it quickly reverts back to the original "bad" settings that I initially messed up. I have tried removing the cable and and setting the profile manually but no matter what I do, it fetches the original "bad" settings as soon I reconnect the cable to the wifi router. It fetches my username and password automatically as soon as I connect the cable but doesn't fetch IP address, DNSv4 or v6.
I have tried adding and removing my username and password in wifi settings as well and I have also tried accessing it through Airtel thanks app but it shows my router as off.
Is there any way I can fix this on my own or do I have to register a complaint at the customer care?
Thanks.
