Recently came across this Micro XPON ONU, it's the size of an SFP module or so. Found it pretty interesting, I am planning to get one for playing around. 
I checked with an Alibaba seller, and it allows you to change the GPON serial and other parameters. Pricing wise its some 6-7 USD per unit plus shipping plus customs.
