I think MS have already blown away the Windows tablet competition with the Surface and Surface Pro haha, only thing they can do is compete on price for now, until hopefully they also come up with matching technology (VaporMg, TouchCover, TypeCover etc). Just need to see if the WinRT Surface can steal sales off iPad3 because its not much more expensive (screen resolution is the major drawback)

apps man. windows phone store has failed to take on Apple app store. and here we are talking about windows store. i do not remember if surface has 3g/4g-lte/gps support. i assume it does. i wonder what would we get for navigation Nokia maps or bing maps.

Yep, apps for sure is another drawback, although personally I don't care for that too much. But with Microsoft pushing Win8 on the phone and desktop and tablet, I'm sure apps devs will join the party soon enough Not sure about the 3g/4g/lte thing, I don't think they have it. Dunno if you can fit a module into the microSDXC slot , but a usb dongle will work.

their first surface ad is all about working on it while on the move. it would be a shame if it does not have GPS even. let me check the specifications!

i assume the same division would cater to surface which is catering to xbox 360 in india?

I certainly hope so I'm salivating thinking about getting my hands on one of these beauties.

i wonder if microsoft would consider india an important enough market to bring it here officially. :\ indian tablet market is probably mostly made up of < Rs. 10,000 products. surface seems to be more in the range of Rs. 25-30K.
