How to use Sony T610 as modem?I have USB Bluetooth Dongle for connectivity and using Airtel as network provider. Please give all the requirements, settings, explainations. Thank You

Why do you want to do that, this handset does not have EDGE... and max speed you will get is around 30kbps.

I just want to learn and will use incase of emergency. So do you know how to do it?What is the use of GPRS?Can't it be done without it?

Is there any alterative other than activating GPRS from Airtel? How it is charged? I removed bluetooth dongle driver for modem & installed Official T610 driver and modem is not found. So I think I will revert back to dongle modem driver.

I think Airtel charges 15 RS per day for unlimited usage on prepaid. Its good since you can enable / disable for individual days.

Yep. It is 15 bucks every day. But once you start it, you have to pay for at least two days running. And the speeds are not that great (Average speeds of about 3 KBPS or 24kbps). But something is better than nothing.

Not bad...When GPRS is activated, what settings will Airtel provide me?Do I need to create a WAP profile in mobile phone as well? Will I be able to surf in mobile as well? P.S. Is there any alternative to GPRS to use mobile as modem? May be like normal dial up?

Every phone's menus are different, so difficult to give you exact steps.Go to Airtel's shop. You might be able to find someone who knows how to setup Airtel's GPRS on this model.
