I am mainly opting for and iOS due stability and reliability, expecting her to hold on to it 7 years atleast, she did great for 5 years with her last Android device

Wanted to go for something cheaper but iPhone se is archaic

You know what I am really confused between pixel 6a and iPhone 13 mini the deals will be out for the iPhone in the coming days
until that I want you guys to suggest a good phone for my mom


I can even go for regular iPhone 13 if the deal is a good one

I guess iPhone will be a better option, given the form factor and the stability it offers. On the Android side, there's Moto given its simplicity and bloat-free experience, but none of their devices are in the 6.1" size category or less.
6a would have been better if the Tensor chip was more than 2-3 generations old. Right now, all Tensor users are beta testers and that chip will get better with time.

No, only calls and casual social media with internet browsing and YouTube and WhatsApp

Pixels have been a bed for bugs in the past so kinda confused.

Its better to avoid Pixel. If you have an old iPhone, let your mom get acquainted with iOS. Also, be wary of pathetic battery life on iPhone SEs. My father got comfortable with iOS, but small screen, abysmal battery backup and flimsy charging cables bothered him. Finally went for Edge 30 after 2 years of jhanjhat.

That is the primary reason I am avoiding SEs, too small a display for today and battery life the less talked about the better,

About charging cable I am sure that you can find better ones certified directly from Apple and cheaper
