Google has samshit and other OEMs heavily dependent on Android, Apple ofcourse makes its own hardware. So microsoft is left with Nokia to showcase the might of Windows8 mobile so Iam guessing they won't sell nokia. WTH google? Why couldn't they buy Nokia?? Nokia was bought for less than skype ..that's depressing.

Hmm yes I remember reading that Nokia is atill holding on to its patents & licensing them to other manufacturers, I think there is nothing much left to strip. :) Reading in the media that they are also doing a 'Apple' on others ie going to court to milk other manufacturers for what its worth.

But that does not specify whether if tis all or only part of the patents held by Nokia :) Even with the Motorola & Lenovo deal it took some time for the real details to come out that Google has not sold out all patents.

10 minutes to explain why Google sold Motorola? Man. Must be complicated.
As for Nokia... They still have mapping (Here) and networking divisions. I am guessing they would now become a services company. Licensing their technologies. We might finally see Nokia apps coming to Android. I think Nokia Here would be a welcome addition.

So Lenovo is not going to kill Motorola brand. Instead, they will relaunch Moto brand in emerging markets and developing countries. China included. I see everything good and as it was before if only Lenovo keep Moto devices near to stock android and don't feed own crap with it. But it's very unlikely.
