They have not provided me with a sim card. But the box in which the phone came had a sticker on it which said specially programmed for reliance cdma. And moreover the phone bootloader was unlocked when i received the phone.
 
No, number isn't written onto device, PRL is. If it has been programmed I guess it should work. Once your TATA number is deactivated, you should start getting 1X in your MOTO G
 
Yes. *228 is standard procedure for cdma. Do calls work properly. Does it give the not reachable message when data is on?

CC doesn't know what evdo is. You'll prolly have to complain to pgportal if it doesn't start working.
 
Yes call works. Have not faced the not reachable thing yet. But with Tata it happened many times that when using phone for tether callers will get busy msg.
 
mmm. i think that's how technology works. lte supports both voice and data. cdma doesn't. i could be wrong though.
