So the price is now officially down to the new lower price. Flipkart has revised the promo tagline to:

Moto G - Now Starting at Rs 10,499 Only

though i still doubt if its worth it at the price point

but it seems people are buying it daily by looking at the review section

You get stock android. Priority updates. Decent build quality. A reliable solid phone. I am not sure why everything has to be about specifications. Which is not that bad.

+ that back

But it is available exclusive online. Most are aware of the specs others are offering. It is a spec game. Else people would rather buy sameshung ones locally like back in the day.

but would it be the same scenario if mi3 was available readily?

i mean you get specs like n5, g2 for 3k more than motog 16gb variant

What I was trying to say is that if someone in my family asks for a phone suggestion in the 10-15K range, I am still very likely to recommend the Moto G because it is less likely to give issues in the longer run. Plus people have heard of the Motorola brand. Yes, I would offering Xiaomi as the alternative to folks who understand the risks there are with a lesser known brand but it would still not be my first priority. If I was buying it for myself? I would probably go for Xiaomi in this particular case largely because stock Android has become quite boring and a change would be nice to have.
