The reason I left mtnl 3g is bcz of cost.
if they come back with 4500/6months/800GB/2.3mbps constant speed, I will be back with mtnl
I had never faced speed problem with mtnl 3g in my area.
Yep. ₹ 2500 for 2 months @ 2 mbps does not cut it. It would if it was @ 4 mbps.
Moreover, Windows 8 feels even faster without Huawei drivers.
Right now in 512 kbps day and 2 mbps night plan of MTNL.
RV Net has promised installation of Fibre/Copper at my place till tomorrow. (Which I think may not be possible due to festive season)
I contacted Hayai by email to let them know that they can start providing internet through that infrastructure (RV Net & Hayai Tie-up).
Email conversation goes this way :-
We have been informed of the same by RV.
As per a notice posted on October 3, we have suspended the creation of new accounts until we get more bandwidth from our upstream delivered to our primary facilities.
This has been done so as to prevent existing users from experiencing slow speeds (and is, unfortunately, necessary due to the speeds on offer). Your account will be created as soon as our new bandwidth comes online.

To which I replied:-
Lmao is this a joke? I went all out of my way to make sure that I get
to enjoy Hayai broadband yet you find excuses over excuses. Do you
even have that many users to finish off your bandwidth?
Anyway, how many years will it take for you to acquire a mere 20 mbps?
They replied promptly saying:-
No, it is not a joke. We have recently upgraded our capacity from the main NOC to Mahim (where you will be served from) by 400%, but our order for more bandwidth from Tata etc hasn't yet been fulfilled, and this is what we are waiting for.
Considering the speeds we are offering, we have to be careful ensure that we don't fall afoul of the regulations (it would be very easy for us to go over the 50:1 contention ratios prescribed by the DoT) but we also have to take in to account the customer experience - it would be very bad if we promise you 10 or 20 or 100mbps and you only get 2 - whereas by managing growth we are able to ensure that subscribers get the speeds they are paying for.
It's a good sign in some ways because it proves that demand is outpacing supply but bad in others because it means delays happen more frequently than we'd like (obviously we're not only ordering 20mbps at a time, but we're also not yet in a position to order 100gbps at a time either).
We expect the upstream work to be completed this week itself - so most likely before the cabling is installed at your place.
Funny
sorry for a little offtopic.
