MTNL 3G setup on iPhone

Hi,I just bought a Trump connection and activated 3G on it, and setup my phone using these settings:APN: gprsppsmumuser: mtnlpass: mtnl123..but I'm unable to browse. What additional settings, if any, do I need to do to be able to complete the setup? Anyone tried MTNL 3G on iPhone yet?Thanks

Hi..I was using MTNL 3G services in delhi on an unlocked iPhone 3G. The APN would be different from the one ya tried using. In my case the APN was 'pps3g'and the username and passwrd remained mtnl and mtnl123.Ya can chck the 3G APN fr Mumbai.No other settings are required.

Hi Anupam, tried that and other combinations but it doesn't work. I tried contacting the call center guys but they don't know a damn thing, they say it will take to work! I'm stuck at this stage and really don't know what to do, I'm sure no one will be able to help at the exchange?

MTNL 3G settings are same as MTNL GPRS settings.

check if u can get settings directly from here:

Thanks for the links Amish, but sadly they're not any helpful. First link doesn't have anything to offer for iPhone, second link has the same info that I know.

Anyone having iPhone with 3G please chime in!

may be u can try calling 1503 and ask. they might be having piece of paper infront of their comp to simply dictate the procedure to u.

Yes I did, the details they gave after 20 mins of discussion, don't work.

I've only activate 3G right now, do I also need to activate GPRS in order to have 3G? Thats kind of senseless on MTNL's part imo, but I'll try if that works. I just hope I'm not charged for both EDGE/GPRS and 3G while surfing?

Not sure, but I think logic of MTNL is first activate internet facility i.e. GPRS and then activate addon called 3G. So may be u need to activate GPRS too.
