Can't get it now!Is it an upgrade (if yes , why would they revert to 512 kbps again and and again)(if no, why after reverting back why would they increase the speed again and again !!! )Or are they trying to limit the speeds according to time ( Say like night 2 mbps , day 512 kbps ) !!For the moment I'll enjoy 2 mbps speed !!!

Same issues. Also, is there a way to RESET the modem back to the 2240 kbps Line Down rate? Get a new modem or reset settings on this on? Speeds pathetic, Ping is pathetic. What the hell have they been doing suddenly last few weeks?Add to this: - Frequent disconnections - like the good ole DIALUP days.. Fme. - On watching the modem constantly in a tab as I worked online.. ADSL link down, Authentication failure, all sorts of isses.. Also when Modem shows everything in SUMMARY to be OK.. at that time no pages will open... until I restart the damn thing.. Then it works for a bit .. 5 mins later.. ADSL link down..

If we are getting 4 times for what we are paying for then you should also expect 4 times of what you are paying, 4Mbit

hoping (Hope:The Shawshank Redemption) mine 512kbps would be increased to 2mbps then a movie would be downloaded in1 hr instead of 3 1/2hrs now

4 times fold in one go is not possible in case of mtnl, they can double the speed but will not increase 4 time for all users. Just think if 512kbps guys get 2mbps then 1mbps will be getting 4mbps, can mtnl's line support 4mbps?Nooooo.

I am on 599 plan and getting 2Mbps speed. I have been getting this speed for over 20 days now, for 3-4 days in between I was getting speed of 256Kbps (although the router configuration showed that my speed was synced at 2053Kbps) but at nights at it was still 2Mbps. Now again my speed is back to 2Mbps.
Even I think it might be a fault from MTNL side and it will be corrected soon cause many of my friends are still stucj at 256Kbps.
