U cant xpect anything from a PSU.....more so, when the PSU is named MTNL - i have got fed up of it, and today i got a new Reliance Wired line connection......Rs. 450 pm, 30-35 KiloBYTES per second - Download & Upload.......That goes insanely high, when there are high speed Seeds/Peers connected - at times i have downloaded 4 GB in an hour, and Uploaded 5-6 odd GBs in an hour!!Believe me, this happens if u have good seeded torrent!!

@ Jymn : It's always MTNL that come up with upgrades to force other provider's to upgrade their plans. Has Airtel/Realiance or for that matter any other private firm ever upgraded their speeds before MTNL ?
Yes you are right. Its only because of MTNL/BSNL that the BB prices are within a limit, else these private players will team up and keep the prices high. See whats happening with 3G, BSNL is providing at an affordable price where as docomo's rates are sky high. Long live the PSU babus.

I also agree, MTNL is the best. And believe me, contrary to public thinking, their service is not bad. If there is any problem, it may not get sorted over phone, but if you approach the local MTNL node, the guys are usually helpful and sort it out. Besides, The GM and DGM's are easily contactable and helpful. For the private players like Hathway, Airtel, Reliance etc, the higher authorities always remain hidden and you just cant contact them, however and whatever you try.In the private companies, most of the higher authorities are hopeless, they are arrogant, their parents never taught them to be polite and apologize, and they will give excuses for their mistakes. As against that, most of the MTNL higher authorities are very good and helpful and they will listen to you and help you out. This has been my experience.
