MTNL Broadband 2 MBPS Unlimited @ 599/month

If they introduce, then they will have major conditions apply.....Just take the current case - 2Mbps*, for Rs.49pm.....*Conditions apply - Free usage of 200MB.......Lolzzz!!! I mean if they give 2Mbps, then even a layman surfer will unknowingly use up that limit in a day........So, i am not wanting them to introduce such plans - even if they do, without any conditions apply and all, still, i will never be Suicidal to switch over to MTNL........

I agree with jymn2005.Yes, Reliance is offering some great services, no matter if they are rite now just in Mumbai. I mean Rs600 and 600kbps transfer means something, and I have talked to people who [were or are] get 512kbps for Rs700 [approx] and the validity is for two months.People who are taking sides of MTNL either never had the opportunity to deal with the officials :D or are just too amused by their plans. No joke :ashamed:

But i dont understand y Reliance hasnt still started serving outside Mumbai.....i mean they here since atleast 2007. Atleast they should have covered the Metros like Delhi, Chennai, & Kolkata by now........thats a bit of a surprise.Else, as u have said, u will find many satisfied customers of Reliance (Wired Line). So, for those who are in Mumbai, i will suggest to consider this once for sure.......its way better than MTNL - my personal experience, and many more will agree.....

They are serving in Delhi. But, the tariffffffffffffff'ssss.. :D

Surf Addiction 300, Speed- 300 Kbps Monthly Charges (Rs.) 450
Night Booster Zoom 1, Speed-Day 1 Mbps, Night^ 2 Mbps Monthly Charges (Rs.) 1499
Zoom 2, Speed -2 Mbps and Monthly Charges (Rs.) 2599

300kbps to direct 1mbit? I mean do they really think, people won't be interested in 512kbps or 786kbps?

Ok, didnt knew that thing!!Yeah but those Plan choices are weird for sure......even here they have something like 300kbps, and 600kbps and all!!I dont know your requirements, but if you are an average torrent user like me, then may be 300kbps also should suit you......coz 300kbps very regularly shoots up on well seeded torrents.I will give u my Yesterday's example itself - i had a file of 1.47 GBs added at about 4:30 in the evening/afternoon.......and God knows when it got super charged, and it got completed by 6:15 in that very evening!!

O_O that's super weird, am leaning towards Reliance lolMy requirements? I am not a heavy downloader, music albums and tuts on youtube. And loads of surfing :DBTW, what plan you got that gve birth to this miracle lol xD

I am on 300kbps plan - Rs.450pm, and as ican see, u have that plan in Delhi......And i am again repeating - those weird speeds are a regular feature with me - i have posted this thing many times......And if you use torrents, then you too will get such speeds on decently seeded torrents. If you arent using, then its pretty clear that your requirements are very much within limits.....so 300kbps should more than suffice you!!But still, as a Caveat, i will advice you to have a word with Reliance users in Delhi. In Mumbai, i can be very sure about those miracles, but i cant tell that about Delhi - i have no idea of it.......so, just have a word with any of this Forum members, or any of your acquaintances who is using it.

Yes, i am very happy with it......as i have mentioned - 450pm, 300kbps speed, which regularly shoots up to a few MBs per second......and DL & Unlimited are at equal speeds.

To top it all, the CC is much more responsive - again repeating this as well - when i had a problem with 1 out of my 2 Reliance Wired Line connections, i had called them up at 5 in the Morning, and the linemen were there by 11:30 that very day....and we found out that the problem wasnt due to their fault - there was some Diwali clean up work going on at our terrace, due to which the connection had loosened!!

So, to summarise - my experience with their Wired Internet service is really great!!

What about FUP?
And by the way I have 1 mbps unlimited plan. 999+tax. No FUP.

@gadgetcrazy.....

They dont have any FUP for now - They are alien to that term......i will tell you that how i came to know of this:

I already had a Reliance connection. But wanted another one for my 2nd PC. So, i called up their CC after getting fed up of MTNL. (Obviously, u have to imagine the conversation in Hindi!!)

I directly asked the CC guy that "Do you people allow torrents?? Do you have any Fair Usage Policy??"

And this was the reply i got "Sir, we dont know what are torrents....."

I asked "And the Fair Usage Policy?" He replied "What is that??"

I explained him. then he said "We do not know anything about it. But can you tell us what are Torrents??"

I explained him that as well, and he said finally "Let me ask my senior about it. Hold on for a few moments."

After about a minute, he came back and said "Sir, even our seniors do not know what is Fair Usage Policy, or Torrents."
---------------End of Conversation------------

And, from my personal experience also, i will tell you that i have never faced any hiccups due to FUP - i mean my Downloads, and my Browsing speed - both are very much consistent.

@ Samm

I dont have much info about their Wireless Internet of which you have given the link......all i have heard about it is - people curse it from time to time. But this Wired line is a Pleasantly surprising thing.......If you dont have other option better than this, then you can really consider this!!
