I am a MTNL Triband user (unfortunately) and having this problem for the past 10 days.I am unable to load certain websites. The page just remians blank and the status bar shows "transferring data from ..............." . However some sites work perfectly without any problem.Even some sites which do load the progess indicator keeps on revolving even though the page has loaded. Another thing is that if i disable javascript in my browser these pages seem to load well. or if i use UltraSurf (a https tunneling proxy) then also most pages load perfectly. One more problem i am having is that most files just refuse to be downloaded. Everytime i try and download the file the download just pauses in the midway.Also i noticed that using https solves the problem on certain sites as gmail.When i download a file through torrent there is absolutely no problem.Basically what i can infer is that all the problem is mainly restricted to HTTP and also FTP , Other services work fine.The problem is same irrespective of the browser i use(firefox, IE , chrome) and also OS (winXP, Ubuntu, slackware). I have even formatted my system but to no avail. Also its not limited to my PC only , the same problem also occurs on the laptop using the same net connection.I am using MTNL WiFi router HG520 (i also tried out an old D-Link router i had with me but even that didnt solve my problem). Its probably sumthing wrong on the MTNL side because if access internet through my cellphone there are no problems.Please help me out with , am feeling totally helpless
