MTNL Broadband: getting 437kbps on 2mbps?

i was on 849NU in october 09.. then nov & dec i shifted to 199plan & from Jan 1st i'm using 399plan..
my problem is that i'm getting 437kbps now on a 2mbps line.

SNR Margin: 7.8 32.0 db

Line Attenuation:47.0 25.6 db

Data Rate: 437 262 kbps

that seems to be a line problem.. i had a similar issue where my sync rates were really low.. i had to get my line replaced..

i figured out the problem.i have a cordless phone at my house.When i connect my phone through the splitter given by mtnl i get full 2048kbps.& when i connect the phone direct to the main line i get 350-450 kbps.Moral: Always use the splitter. :thumb:

It will be better if u get in touch with the exchange and inform them about the speed problem.Else book a complaint in (Online Complaints) Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited, A Government of India Enterprise.

Dunno if I'm the only person but whenever I book an online complaint on MTNL's site (Online Complaints) Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited, A Government of India Enterprise. my exchange never responds to it.

Sending mails to DGMs, GM, however, works for me.
