MTNL Broadband problems from a week in andheri?

or atleast CC shud know abt this so called controlled downtime. and they shud have been able to tell us when it wud be up. even person from internet division prabhadevi cudnt tell me the time it will take.

Dude when the connection is down you will never be able to call 1504.Even if you do get 1504 then option 3 for online help will be "please call later" Everytime i call and get this message or dont get someone on the line,I can be pretty sure that they have goofed up some how somewhere And the CC tech guys(if you do get through during an outage) always say its fine,I'll generate a complaint number and fwd it.Some one should visit you to resolve the issue. Do you think they keep their lines busy or unreachable when there is a known issue?

So how can I contact the GM.Got an Tel No or better still an Email? Couldn't find one on the website
 
i didnt get GM number or anything.. i called consumer grievance number printed on back of tel bill. and they give me some number for my exchange.

Thats probably the number they gave you to the SLOW CUSTOMER SERVICE CENTER at your exchange>complaining there only means they will say we will look into it or come to the exch and give a letter so we can add to our Raddhiwalas quota Anyways I did try and I found out they gota whole lotta GM's and CGM's and DGM and ......Direct lines and Fax numbers to all of them and 164 email ID's in total for everything but a decent service that we pay for Here is the link Mumbai MTNL : At a Glance
 
I had that kind of downtime too. I had ADSL carrier but it wouldn't connect to the exchange. I think it's because they are upgrading their servers for new TriB 849 NU plan. Ease up on it and things should be back to normal soon.RegardsChew

Write a short description of your problem and FAX it to General Manager (Broadband) at 24367168 and then call at 24310645 to confirm that they received it.

Usually that gets things moving. if it does not, then try FAXing Executive Director (Mumbai) at 24372033

hurray!!back to 2mbps.i asked the engineer why my speed was reduced. she said speed is reduced if u make complaint that ADSL light fllckers.i didnt make such complaint though. my ADSL light never goes down unless phone is not attached to splitter. i had made complaint that triband is not working at all but ADSL light is STABLE. i think those 1504 guys mixed things up when it was down for everyone from borivli to parle. and my speed was reduced.anyway back to 2mbps but i missed yesterday's free download @2mbps because of this!
