Hello Everybody ,

I have just activated MTNL DELHI`s (Post paid -GPRS 349/MONTH PLAN) GPRS plan on my mobile handset.

When i Contacted customer care (dolphin 1503) they told me that ,Only

surfing is free But Downloading is not free, and it will cost Rs-3/kb.

But, it is written on MTNL delhi`s website that Everything is free.

Now I am worried B`coz I have downloaded more than 500Mb Data from my mobile by connecting it to PC.

PLEASE HELP ME.....................:(:(:(:(:(:(

You simply dont pay the Bill. Let them Disconnect if they want. I dont understand this. "MTNL says Surfing is Free, Downloading is not Free". Hows that possible. Every page u surf is automatically calculated in Downloads then how come MTNL say that Surfing is free.. I cant understand.. Mr.Mohit, ask them explain correctly .

CC guys mostly dont know much. esp in case of MTNL.if its written on website abt no charge then u wont be charge. just make sure u r on the same plan as u think u r!

what a stupid thought...is there any possible way to determine if someone's surfing or downloading??? isn't surfing indirectly downloadingthe CC people are acting like true govt. babu's...if you can find a written proof of this plan of there's on some website or pamphlet then i believe you can sue them and WIN...mtnl and bsnl provide umlimited gprs download as far as i know. the CC guy probably misunderstood the plan details during his training... i guess he thought of this like just another ringtone or song download.

it's an unlimited plan...also, i'm thinking of going the same way...do tell me which mobile u're having...and what's the speed u're getting on the PC...

it's got edge bro... you'll get about 12-15kb download speed in the day and 25+kb in the night... it's a great solution for wireless internet for your notepad. speeds always fluctuate and sometimes it doesn't connect at all for 24 hours straight. mobile battery get hot and dies within 4 hours of gprs connection.are you still wondering why they give unlimited data transfer???

i tried normal MTNL GPRS when they offered it free. It was working good/stable but speeds werent EDGE type, it was more like 4KB/s or 32kbps. So can be handy in crisis time.

well, actually right now i'm using my Reliance mobile for internet on my laptop...it costs me 60 paisa/min from 6 am to 10 pm and 30 paisa/min from 10 pm to 6 am...speed i get connected to is 240 kbps and i get a download speed of 7-15 kBps...so was wondering if switching to MTNL GPRS would be a good idea as i do have a Dolphin connection and GPRS enabled phone...
